TGIF!

Well, it is Friday night! YES my friends. We made it!!

Child #1 has finally accepted his bedtime fate after screaming like a banshee for the last mmmmprobably 45 minutes. Truth: when the screaming subsided for a moment I totally caved and went in for cuddles and pets until he started to fall asleep. Child #2 is happily hanging out with me looking at contrast books and Dino the French dinosaur. And I finally have two free hands to sit down and write.

I have debated (mostly procrastinated and doubted) whether or not the world needs another blogger. There really are SO many! But lately the you-should-blog nudges have become more and more frequent and it's largely because I need an outlet. An opportunity to "write it out". So I'm thrilled to welcome you to my little corner of the internet!

What you should know. This life of mine I'll be sharing with you is fairly ordinary. I've met all of the milestones we're supposed to and did most of them in the "right" order. I went to university. Twice. After graduating, moved in with the boyfriend. We got a puppy. He proposed. We bought a house, got married and had babies. Check, check, check. There have been times throughout this life that I have struggled with being ordinary. For mostly following the rules, not taking many risks, being good at several things but not amazing at that one thing etc. etc. But this is what I have learned again and again through it all.

There are moments within an ordinary life that are extraordinary.

There are moments within an ordinary life that I am an extraordinary wife, mama, daughter, sister, friend.

There are moments within an ordinary life that I can be an extraordinary blessing.

There are moments within an ordinary life that I can show extraordinary love.

There are moments within an ordinary life that God does extraordinary things.

And that is why I'm sharing this life of mine with you.

It's an extraordinary, ordinary life!
